Our annual all gallery “birthday show” unites The Main Gallery's twenty-three artists in the theme “Recycled.” Artists have a long history of creatively repurposing items and in this show they explore the many ways items often thought useless can be transformed into something useful once again. This diverse and eclectic show promises to inspire the viewer into thinking about the many ways we can all “recycle.”
A reception for the show will be held Saturday, August 15th, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, which will coincide with Redwood City’s monthly Artwalk. The Gallery will be hosting its first-ever juried “Trunk Show” on September 12th from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm featuring wearable art. This promises to be an exciting new event for the Gallery and a great opportunity to do some early Christmas shopping!
The Main Gallery, an artists’ cooperative with 23 members, showcases the work of some of the best local talent in the Bay Area and is located at 1018 Main Street at the corner of Main and Middlefield in the historic yellow Victorian Cottage. The Gallery is open Wednesday to Friday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm and weekends from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
